On their 46th anniversary the Boy Scouts of America announce a record 4 175 134 members and adults. The breakfast for national leaders featured Dr Arthur A Schuck and Explorer Scouts from across the nation. A nonpartisan get out the vote campaign is planned for next November and 35 million hangers will be placed on doorknobs. President Eisenhower sent a congratulatory letter for passing the four endian mark. Do not drive if you drink.

The Iowa ASC committee announced today that Iowa's 1956 corn acreage allotments are transferred to county committees. Individual farm allotments will be ready by March 2.
