32 Unaccounted After Rescue Of Yukon Survivors
Ketchikan Alaska Feb 7 AP Thirty two persons are unaccounted for after rescue vessels brought the last known load of Yukon survivors to Seward. Crew and passenger lists are being checked to identify the missing as no bodies have been found. The Yukon carried 497 people when it ran aground near Johnstone Bay after departing Seward Sunday night.

Meningitis Death Claims Oakland Young Man
Wesley E. Robinson 24 of Oakland died from spinal meningitis after falling ill last week. A 1942 Oakland High School graduate, he was born near Carson, son of Mr and Mrs Fred Robinson. Funeral services were held this week at Vieth Funeral Home. He was treated briefly in a Council Bluffs hospital before his death.

Council Plans Airport Site Takeover and Street Work
The Western Engineering company of Harlan will complete its contract by adding a second coat of blacktop to streets resurfaced last year. The council discussed taking over the emergency landing field for a municipal airport and will meet with site owners at a later date.
