Special to the News Telegraph Iowa City February 7 church workers from state universities opened their fifth annual conference in the Old Capitol Building. More than 60 delegates from several states attended as President Bowman welcomed attendees and urged close cooperation between churches and universities to equip youth with both intellect and character. He stressed that the university’s spiritual life must grow from classrooms and labs and praised teachers willing to sacrifice to teach, highlighting the fusion of faith and learning.
