L L Allen moved into his new home bought from Mrs. Maude Trailor. A Lastine conducted business in Atlantic Saturday. Mrs. Clarence Squires returned Monday from Grinnell where she visited her sister Mrs. Alva Longnecker. Y M C A secretary B Dennison spoke at the M P church on village church possibilities. Numerous local visits and travels noted including Ross Burkett, Avery Allen, Mrs Chas Thomas, Miss Grace Trailor, and Miss Edna Olsen. The hall dance Friday night by Julius Jacobs and Rube Schmidt drew a large crowd. Numerous Atlantic visitors and Maine visitors noted, with several residents away for brief trips.

Mystery of the Remittent Aboard Norwegian Bark Vanishes Off Cape Henry
British steamer Koumanian reports the Norwegian bark Remittent found deserted ten days out from Port Arthur. After towing toward Cape Henry, a gale left the crew missing. The vessel showed no signs of distress, with full water and provisions and life boats ready. Captain Toreersen led a five to six man crew from Rio Grande do Sul to Liverpool.
