Des Moines February 6 Beef cattle education units will tour Iowa on Northwestern and Rock Island lines, with expert raisers giving lectures. The Iowa Beef Cattle Producers Association plans to establish classes for beef and feeder cattle, backed by Prof. W. J. Kennedy of the Ames animal husbandry department. The aim is to boost local cattle farming as western ranges dwindle and beef prices rise.

Funeral services for the late W K Barnard will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o clock conducted by Rev Spelman.
Otto Lassen traded his four hundred acre farm two miles south of Casey for forty thousand dollars with George F. Krittenbrink of Casey. Krittenbrink exchanged a two hundred forty acre farm one mile south of Afton in Union county, previously owned by him, for the Lassen property. The Krittenbrink farm lies near Lassen's former holdings. Krittenbrink was in town arranging the deal and has prospered since moving away years ago, with his siblings also doing well. He subscribed to the News-Telegraph while here.
Congressman D. P. Hogan sent a postal card praising the San Diego trip. He described the Los Angeles to San Diego drive as one of the finest scenic routes and called San Diego a fine resort with grand ocean scenery. He particularly lauded Point Loma as grand beyond description.
John Mayberry a substitute rural mail carrier on Route 4 became part of a runaway incident last night when his horse frightened by a dog bolted and overturned the cutter. He escaped with minor injuries and the horse was uninjured apart from the scare.

Washington February 6 The Lorimer investigating committee summarily dismissed Milton Blumenberg its official reporter for conduct at the hearing. Pending contempt charges he remains a committee witness and while also an official reporter of Senate proceedings he will not be employed there until charges are cleared.
Oklahoma City reports indicate Harvey Hurst his wife and Elsie Adams a sixteen year old were murdered before their home on Delaware burned. Victims suffered head wounds before cremation. In Los Angeles labor leaders Olaf Tveitmoe Anton Johannsen KE A Clancy and J E Munsey pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to transport dynamite after demurrers and motions were ruled.
Los Angeles February 6 Bert H Connors union iron worker will be tried a second time on the charge of attempting to blow up the county hall of records. The previous trial ended in a jury disagreement after thirty hours of deliberation.
In Wayne Nebraska four weeks ago a girl struck her finger on a walnut shell while cracking nuts. The abrasion led to blood poisoning and the death of Mrs. Anne Florerice Grier in a Sioux City hospital.

London February 6 King George and Queen Mary arrived back in England after a historic three month journey during which they were crowned emperor and empress of Indy. Crowds cheered as the royal parade passed the American embassy and Buckingham Palace with salutes and national anthems. The royal couple, Queen Mary and the Prince of Wales, appeared on a balcony amid a final display of cheers and fireworks.
All quiet in Juarez as streetcars resume between El Paso and Juarez and refugees return home. A dozen stragglers from the troops' train taken by Orozco reach Juarez, slipping away at each stop. Advices from Chihuahua say rioting among troops has resumed, with reports General Pasqual Orozco may become governor of the state.
An elderly man on a fastbound express near Swift Current turned violent and fired at passengers, killing John G. Klundt of Garrison North Dakota. Klundt was returning from Medicine Hat with his brother Gusten A. Klundt when shot in the back of the head as he slept. In a separate report in Kansas City, George Rudolph, eighteen, died from an accidental rifle discharge by John C. Ray while Ray cleaned his weapon in a theater dressing room after Rudolph had been performing with a vaudeville act.
