Frank Cox of Atlantic Iowa testifies Doans Kidney Pills cured back ache and kidney soreness after injury. He began use about 1907 and reports ongoing relief and confidence in the remedy. Later statement in 1910 confirms continued trust and effectiveness. Sold by all dealers price 60 cents Foster Milburn Co Buffalo NY sole agent.
Allan A Ryan, son of Thomas F Ryan, is noted in an obituary item referencing his father who underwent an operation and later sank. The brief notices the family connection and the medical context surrounding the elder Ryan.
Constantinople reports the porte telegraphed Rechad Pasha in London with counter peace proposals approved by the council of ministers. The exact terms are not disclosed yet the Turkish press says allies’ conditions are unacceptable and the delegates were not sent to London to compromise. The porte again seeks a consular inquiry into alleged allied atrocities in occupied areas. Chief Detective Cain said one man would be linked to the case later and promised to announce the definite suspect. Bonfires Will Greet Wilson on Trip. Staunton Virginia awaits Woodrow Wilson birthplace celebrations with bonfires lighting the night as the prominent visitor arrives.
President Taft spent the forenoon inspecting the Panama canal central and Pacific divisions, the Culebra cut, and Pacific fortifications. Percival H. Dodge hosted a dinner, then Taft attended a ball hosted by President Perras. Earlier, auto crash in Lincoln injured W. C. Heaton.

Auction starts 10 a m January 5, 1913 at the August Ballensiefer farm barn yard. Items include livestock, implements, grain, and hay. terms to be announced.

Woodworth Clum former secretary of the Rock Island Commercial Club purchases the Clinton Daily Advertiser. He will not immediately run the paper, while Frank McMeekin leads operations in Davenport. Articles of incorporation show a $50 000 capital with Clum Terhune and Jordan as officers and directors.
