State to Rent Building for Two Departments in Des Moines
Des Moines the state executive council tentatively agreed to rent a 10,000 square foot two story building near the Armory on Des Moines east side to house the entire state safety department and the World War II bonus board. Lease would run five to ten years at about 17 cents per square foot per year with heat included and occupancy hoped for Jan. 22. The Armand cosmetics firm would relocate to its other building. the deal awaits attorney general approval.
