Des Moines Iowa December 1 Jas Horrabin a prominent Des Moines contractor was indicted by the Polk County grand jury on conspiracy charges. The case rests on a confession from Lloyd Williams a bookkeeper at Horrabin offices who said he and Horrabin with his knowledge bought stolen automobile tires from people who removed them from railway cars in local yards.

Arrest Made In Mail Theft Ring At Union Pacific Post
In Council Bluffs Iowa December 17 mail officials reported suspicions that mail sacks were rifled at the Union Pacific transfer post. Inspector Cobbe of Omaha arrested John Enzola Crumbin Cazonia and Joe Arizonia after home searches yielded watches silk and other items. They received sentences of one year plus two thousand dollars. Two more men Anton Bodik and Sam Penico were later arrested with Penico discharged. All worked at the transfer loading and unloading mail and more suspects are named as connected to the thefts.
