Patriotic Rally Set in Des Moines by State Defense Council

The state council of national defense will hold a conservation loyalty meeting in Des Moines on December 14 with noted speakers including Otto H. Kahn Tu P O Connor Senator Knute Nelson and Clarence Dartow. Special patriotic music will be provided and invitations issued to all organizations to bring members. The two day event aims to mobilize war support and attendees are urged to participate.

Washington reports that declaring war on Austria Hungary will add about 700,000 men over age 15 to the alien enemies in the United States.
