The Rock Island Railroad contracted Orville Eblen Construction of Atlantic and Ace Construction of Omaha for 1.8 million dollars to grade a new right of way. Thel mon Hampton, a 58 year old man from Pineluff Arkansas, gave a pint of blood at a hospital on Friday intended for his ill sister. After a fight the following night he needed a transfusion and received his own blood back.
