Grand Forks N D Aug 12 Six violent deaths were reported across North Dakota. A sheep herder James Bevedy died after stumbling and striking his head in a stream near Haynes. Thirteen year old Joseph Kirkesbey was kicked in the stomach while hitching a team at Maddock and died within an hour. An eighteen month old child of M Hoffer drowned in a water pail at McClusky. John W Isenberger Jr a farmer near Jamestown was struck by lightning and killed while riding a hay load. Abe Litsheim died in a runnaway at Tioga. An unidentified man dropped dead from sunstroke near Tioga.

Carl Stengel’s runaway incident ended without injuries as the horse and buggy returned home.
