Fugitive Gunman Neumann Captured in Chicago
Lawrence Neumann, 28, a fugitive ex convict, was captured on the Near West Side after a two month manhunt. He confessed to three shotgun killings including two men and a woman on June 8 in a late night arrest following a porch encounter with a resident who alerted police. Six hundred officers surrounded a three mile area and Neumann was seized with no struggle.

Cyclist Dies After Being Hit by Truck Near Greenfield
Donald Emary, 15, son of Mr and Mrs Walter Emary of Menlo, died Tuesday from injuries after a truck struck him while he rode his bicycle along the highway shoulder north of Greenfield.
