Abolish Iowa State Printers After Senate Vote
Des Moines April 6 The Iowa Senate voted 38 to 4 to abolish the offices of state printer and state binder. The measure now awaits House concurrence after minor amendments. The bill keeps the current offices through the end of 1915 and adopts a competitive bidding system for state printing and binding. The salary raise for the state document editor to 2600 was defeated.
