The Nishna Valley Civic Music association announced its yearly membership drive will run April 19 for a week with a tea at the Whitney hotel to start. Headquarters will be in the hotel lobby and a national association member will assist. Rasmussen, Arthur P. Dies in Fort Worth at 53
Arthur P. Rasmussen 53, of Fort Worth Texas and former Elk Horn resident, died March 20 from a heart attack. Born January 5, 1911 in Elk Horn, he served in the army before World War II and with the coast guard during the war. He later worked as a chef in Fort Worth at Hotel Texas and Town Club. Surviving are his wife Jackie of Fort Worth, his mother Christine Rasmussen of Elk Horn, and a brother Raymond of Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held March 23 in Fort Worth with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Ott officiated.
