Cass county delegates are called to a Democratic county convention on September 3 1908. The call, issued by the Iowa State Democratic Central Committee, sets a September 16 Atlantic Iowa German Hall assembly at 10 am to choose 10 Cass county delegates for a state convention. Separate notice references a Republican convention in Des Moines on September 24 1908 to nominate a judge for the Iowa Supreme Court.
