Fifteenth annual firemen tournament set for town
The town was chosen as the site for the fifteenth annual firemen's tournament at a meeting of the Wiremen's association. Billington was the strong bidder but Davenport won out. An entrance fee amendment lowered fees from five to two percent of purses for volunteer departments and two to one percent for pall departments. The old Board of officers were re-elected except E B Lambert of Newton named second vice president replacing Charles M Nicholson of Council Blois. Real estate transfers noted with dates in 1908.
