Amputated Foot After Horse Accident Near Extra
George Kness of Audubon county was thrown from a horse and his right ankle badly injured. He was brought to the city and Dr. Emmert assisted by Dr. Morris amputated the right foot. Normal Institute Commences First Day Big Enrollment
The Cass county normal institute opened its 1909 session at the high school building with about 120 enrolled on the first day including two young men. Instructors are present and work proceeds with general preparation as the day begins. Tomorrow should bring smoother operations and more enrollments.
