Chicago June 10 hogs receipts 35 000. Market status mixed and generally lower with butchers and heavy classes showing strength while lighter classes remain uncertain. Prices range with heavy hogs around 5.30 to 5.50 and bulk within 4 to 5 per hundredweight.
Receipts show cattle 18 900 steady to 10 lower with beef $4.07 to $6.75, cows and heifers $4.02 to $7.50, and feeders $5.60 to $6.50. Sheep receipts 15 000 strong to higher with lambs $4.25 to $4.70 and sheep $3.20 to $3.30. Hogs $5.00 to $5.15. grain wheat 87c, corn 60c, oats 42c. butter 18 20c, eggs 12c, potatoes 60c, hay 7.00–10.00, straw 6.00.
The timetable lists trains for Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific with numbered services such as No 13 Omaha Flyer at 6 25 am and No 9 Local Passr at 9 53 am. It includes Colo and Calif Exp No 5 11 10 am and Mail and Express No 17 at 2 13 pm.
