A. J. Snodgrass of Lewis suffered burns at home last Monday about 2:30 AM while lighting a three hole gasoline stove. He used wood alcohol in the pans. the middle hole failed and flames erupted from the ends. Snodgrass, in night clothes and holding an alcohol bottle, spilled fuel and the fire burned his right leg skin, leading to removal of his night clothes and extinguishing the blaze. He escaped major damage beyond a burned leg and minor hand burns and plans to recover. He learned not to use alcohol in pans while others burn.
