Chicago Markets Hogs Cattle and Sheep Prices July 3
Chicago markets report hog receipts at 17 000 mostly 10c higher than yesterday with best hogs around 6 70 per cwt. Mixed and butcher hogs 6 35 to 6 65. Pigs estimated Monday 30 000 and next week 150 000. Cattle receipts 1 500 mostly steady to higher with beeves 4 75 to 8 25 and cows 2 40 to 6 15. Sheep receipts 4 000 dull with lambs 4 00 to 6 00. Estimated Monday cattle 18 000 and lambs 17 000.
