Returns from Maine plantations trickle in while cities show a large Republican plurality. Reed Dingley Mulliken and Boutelle are re-elected as the GOP dominates all counties. Democratic vote down about 40 percent from 1892, with populists and prohibitions also dropping. Total around 124,000 with Republicans 83,160 Democrats 34,840 and scattering 6,500.
Combined wealth of these men is greater than all Europe except Russia and is three-fifths larger than the country’s cultivated lands. The immense estates would furnish farms of 160 acres for each of 8,568,000 men. These nine states and territories provide homes for 1,318,000 people.

Commissioners Pagne Devers and an assistant oversee a 40 by 80 foot display showcasing mineral agricultural forest and fishery resources of the Pacific Northwest with hydraulic gates described as massive. A separate incident details a tanker traveling between Baker City and Sparta when a tank of allele acid exploded throwing the driver from the seat and destroying oats 300 feet of fence and other merchandise as flames spread with limited containment.
Union county reports show two thirds of the vast crop harvested with A B Conley's operation employing about 85 workers, 184 horses, and multiple machines. Rail- and incline-dump systems handle grain bound for Pioneer flouring mills as local mining and fruit displays accompany farm scenes and health notes mingle with old-time ads.
