Life Term for Murder of Homer Bidwell in Oregon
Willard Sullivan, convicted slayer of Homer Bidwell a prominent North Powder rancher, was sentenced in La Grande to life imprisonment. Circuit Judge J W Knowles imposed the term following jury recommendation. Bidwell was shot to death in a field near his home last June.

Otte shot his deer in the head and drained its blood, but the animal suddenly revived and fled. After a quarter mile chase into a deep canyon the buck died. Mother Dies in Rib Lake Wisconsin at 84
Mrs. Henrietta Radtke mother of I. B. Radtke of this city died Sunday morning at her Rib Lake Wisconsin home after a several year illness. Survived by four sons and three daughters she was 84. Radtke had traveled east two years earlier to visit his mother who was gravely ill.
