Pioneer Roulston Dies Sudden in Walla Walla City
James J. Roulstone of Walla Walla, born Searsport Maine December 27 1842, died suddenly Tuesday night after a day spent in a motor car. He spent much of his life in Umatilla County Oregon, owned farmland, and retired five years ago to Walla Walla. Survived by his wife Sarah Skewis and three children Cora Nettie and Jobo.

Death by cyanide ends life of W L Zeiger in Athena
W L Zeiger committed suicide at the St Nichols hotel in Athena after arriving from Spokane. He left a tablet note requesting burial in a rough box with no funeral services and referenced past sins. Zeiger, once a blacksmith and connected to Pendleton and Tacoma, was well known locally and related to Judge J W Maloney and attorney L B Reeder.
