Thirteen Steamer Merger Creates Pacific Steamship Co

Thirteen steamers join to form the Pacific Steamship company from the Pacific Coast Steamship and Pacific Alaska Navigation firms. The merger, effective November 1, consolidates 55,000 tons of freight and passenger capacity, with vessels valued above 12 million dollars.
