Vale clothier dies by self-inflicted gunfire after store fire
M Ike Robinette a well known Vale clothier was found dead in his store Saturday morning with a bullet wound after the building was set ablaze by his own act. The fire department fought the flames and he had called his wife moments before saying he had no time to come home. A coroner's inquest found he had been despondent for weeks. He had long been active in civic affairs and directed Vale's Fourth of July celebration and Riverside park. He leaves a wife a daughter Helyn and his mother in Boise.

Death Notices: Charles M Barr Dies After Auto Crash
Charles M Barr died at Pasco Monday from injuries in an automobile accident. A longtime traveler for a paint company, Barr regularly visited Athena. He married Miss Jennie Dykes of Milton, who, with a son Howard, survives. The Barr family home has long been in Pasco.
