Athena Public School Graduation Night Program Ends In Celebration
The Athena public school held a commencement program at the opera house featuring graduating classes from primary and intermediate departments and sixth and seventh grades. Highlights included a clown drill by sixteen boys, a Brownie drill by twenty little ones, songs and readings matching the high standard of the program, and a humorous farce The Yankee Peddler. A large audience attended tonight's event.

Burt Denied Control of Trans Siberian Railways

Pendleton May 23. Registration clerks Kennedy and Badley report 4280 total voters in the county, down from 4526 two years ago. Final checks will precede affidavits and distribution of precinct lists for election judges and clerks. The precinct totals add to 4208 with Pendleton and surrounding areas among the listed wards.

The Athena church’s annual Home Missions Sunday offering reached 82 dollars and 76 cents. Three hundred dollars funds an evangelist in Eastern Oregon. Curtis Purchases Building For New Lodge Hall Site
Curtis buys and moves two buildings to Main Street lot west of First Street for rental. One room will be used for a paint shop and already leased. Curtis has wide city property holdings and helped build several Athena residences, aiding filling space between the depot and Second Street with few vacancies remaining.

Fifth Annual Gather Zing of the Clans Caledonian Picnic
