John A Keller a well known Athena resident died Monday night at St Anthony s hospital Pendleton after several days of heart trouble He lived in Athena since 1900 worked as a stone mason farmed near Athena and Helix He was born in Nursland Minnesota married Florence Smith June 20 1898 and is survived by two daughters one son two brothers and one sister Funeral services were held at the Pendleton Methodist church with Rev Melville T Wire and Odd Fellows masked lodge members then he was brought to Athena for burial He belonged to the I O C F lodge and the Masonic order.
