Oregon demonstration train visits city station audience and talks
From 12:30 to 2:00 pm the O R N demonstration train drew farmers and citizens to the city station where lectures covered poultry dairying horticulture livestock soil chemistry crop rotation manure conservation and soil occupation. The event aimed to promote diversified intensified farming and agricultural improvement in the region in cooperation with Oregon Agricultural College and Experiment Station. Dell opened the scoring, then DePontt and Weir powered a late spark for Mill, with key plays by Starr and Littlejohn. An umpire Watts kept order as fans cheered, and the contest drew strong rooting from both sides.
