More Honor Men Break West Rule

Portland man offers detectives plant money in a buried hoard
A Portland man, released after serving three years of a sixteen year term, proposed to detectives that he would show where a $200,000 plant money was buried. He offered to free a penitentiary inmate, and Alexander has been returned to the penitentiary. James Barnes of the Walter Johnson gang vanished near the reform school while working at the prison area. Barnes, 29, was sentenced in Umatilla county from ten to five years for obtaining money under fatal pretenses, and two Gagers are missing from his right hand. He began serving his term on April 25 of this year.
