Hoover plans farm relief board and loans program

President Hoover, after signing the farm relief bill, aims to ask Congress for 150 million dollars of a 500 million revolving fund to aid farmer owned cooperatives. He will form an eight member Federal Farm Board to oversee the fund with broad agriculture authority. Names considered include James C. Stone and Carl Williams, while others like Julius Barnes and Frank Lowden are unlikely. The board will require genuine farm experience, regional representation, and expertise in marketing and finance for effective implementation.
