Fires Threaten Forests Across Idaho and Montana Fronts

Firefighters from Idaho and Montana mobilized to battle the Deer Creek forest fire, which scorched about 25 000 acres north east of Bonners Ferry. Eastern Farmers 200 Strong Tour to Northwest

Lost Girls Return to Their Mountain Camp

Miss Evelyn Warren aged 19 and Miss Ramona Young 15 from Walla Walla were lost for 24 hours near Cold Springs in the Langdon lake area of the Blue mountains. They returned Monday about 1 PM tired but well. Dolly Warren 16, sister of Evelyn, started with the pair Sunday afternoon to pick huckleberries and Dolly last saw them. Sheriffs from two counties, Camp Rotary Boy Scouts, and many locals aided the search, but the girls found their way back to camp on their own.
