Flowing artesian water hit on Pellack farm near Talent
At Ashland the drillers on M. L. Pellack's fruit farm four miles northwest of the city struck an artesian water flow at about 800 feet depth. The eight inch well gushes a strong stream, estimated at 700 gallons per minute, enough to irrigate Pellack's 90 acre orchard. County rockwork crews for Wild Horns Creek bridge abutments arrived from Pendleton Tuesday, with steel tram bridges contracted in place of wood.
