L B Reeder known as Lee Reeder died in Portland Sunday night. He grew up on a farm near Athena and practiced law in Athena before moving to Pendleton to form a law partnership with J H Raley. He served Umatilla County in the legislature. Survived by widow, daughter Mrs Bowman of Portland, sister Mrs Chas Ely of Tacoma, brother Walter Ely of Port Hill Idaho, and nephew Otho Reeder of Athena.

Civil War Veteran Calff M. Drew Dies at 85 in Pendleton
Calff M. Drew, 85, a Civil War veteran and Oregon pioneer born in Maine, died at his son Howard Drew's home in Pendleton. He enlisted at 15 in Company K of the 6th Maine Infantry and served in the Army of the Potomac, later moving to California via the Isthmus of Panama before settling in Tillamook County, Oregon in 1885.
