Frightful Wreck on Eastbound Train Near Bingham Springs

A severe wreck on the O R N east of Bingham Springs wiped out An eastbound gar train near Meacham Creek. Engineer Patty and Fireman MC were killed. William Maxwell Posed injured. The engine plunged into the swollen stream as the track was undermined by a rock wall. The wreck left the car and smoker badly damaged with bodies recovered from the wreckage.

Seven Thousand In Sight For New Church

The fund for the new Methodist Episcopal church in Athena is growing with $800 added since Sunday. Pastor Armfield reports $7000 in sight, with $500 from the Old Extension Board of Philadelphia. The community supports a stone and brick structure to replace the current wooden building.

Pioneer Martha Mor of Weston Dies at 70

Mrs. Martha Mor, pioneer of Weston born in Missouri January 0 1888, died today at 8 a.m. at her sister Mrs. Sarah McDougal’s home in Weston after pneumonia. She first married James M. Lieuallen in 1851, joined the 1860s emigrant train, lived near Weston since 1868, widowed in 1888, remarried J. S. Morgan in 1890, and was a longtime Baptist. She leaves two brothers and several sisters. interment requested at Idaho with her first husband.
