Pixler tied to old meat racket in Oregon arrests
Joe McBain and Roy Pambrun are named as alleged accomplices in a Pixler cattle meat theft ring. Bert Pixler, paroled recently by Governor West, was seized in Freewater with a wagonload of beef offered for sale at cut rates. Sheriff and deputies seized four cattle hides, traced meat shipments to Walla Walla, and moved Pixler to Pendleton after days in jail. Pambrun is McBain’s brother in law. both have prior records in the county.
