Early Pioneer Mary Davenport Dies After Illness
Mrs Mary Davenport died New Year’s Day at her daughter Mrs Lee Moorhouse’s Pendleton home after a long illness and paralysis. Born December 23 1838 in Ohio she married William Willis in 1855 and lived in Salem before moving to Oregon in 1864. She married Samuel Davenport in 1888 after William Willis died in 1882. Survived by six children including Lea Moorhouse J W Willis A Le Willis Park Wood Willis Frank Willis and Harry Willis.
