One Dead After Farmyard Shooting Near Flora Oregon

Pendleton Man Found Dead in Truck in Kansas Roadside
W. W. Parks, who left Pendleton December 16 for St. Louis, was found dead at the steering wheel of his truck on a road near Dodge City Kansas Monday night. Heart failure caused his death. He is survived by a son Theodore Parks of Pendleton and a daughter Mrs. C. R. Graham of Pendleton.

Grandmother Shick Pioneer Woman Dies at 88 in Athena
Martha Jane Bender Shick died at her Athena home early Saturday at 88 years, one month, and 29 days. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm. She was born November 2, 1839, in Fort Wayne Indiana, married Amos Shick November 2, 1857, and moved to Athena in 1877. She leaves one son Arthur, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
