Water Superintendent Gholson says reservoir inflow meets needs while leaks in iron old pipes and wooden gravity pipes waste large amounts of water. Pumps continue to run to maintain supply as repairs begin, replacing corroded, porous lines and addressing widespread leakage.
The will of James H Wheeler who died in Weston at 63 is noted as peculiar because witnesses W W Streiver and George Carpenter did not acknowledge their signatures until ten years after signing. Wheeler, a New Brunswick native, made his will in Fossil Oregon Gilliam county on May 28 1898. witnesses testified the acknowledgments occurred in 1908.
William MacKensie has set a contract for a large barn on the Weston area farm. The 40 by 30 foot concrete basement and floor will support a 48 foot high structure with a concrete driveway. Estimated cost is 3500 dollars. Frank Groor plans a similar 40 by 70 foot barn.

An article from Pendleton via Nolin reports the three week old child of Mr and Mrs Theodore Krange smothered to death Friday night in their home after returning from an entertainment. The mother awoke to find the infant dead and grieving parents bury the child at Nolin Sunday on their farm several miles north of town.
