Registrants must answer within seven days after mailing and send to the Central Board in Pendleton. they are responsible for receipt and timely return. Fire Damage After Explosion In Room Causes Loss
A fire caused by an exploding can of varnish severely damaged a room at 10 30 today. The interior and contents were almost destroyed by flames and water. Jacob Boohar was cleaning and bringing a second can into the room when the first can exploded, heat from the boiler presumed. He was in the room only momentarily and escaped injury as water was applied, saving the building from total loss. Insurance covered some costs, and repair is possible.
