Boy's eyes torn out by a wounded owl attack near Willow Springs
A farm boy, Martin B. Simson, aged about ten to twelve, narrowly escaped with serious injuries after a pair of large owls attacked him while he hunted along the Sanday river. He was clawed on his right arm and hand, bleeding from multiple wounds, before neighbors could help. The incident followed his request to hunt near his family farm.
