About 260 delegates from across the state attended the second annual Farmers Union convention in Pendleton opening Tuesday. President O O Connor presided as speakers urged cooperation and stronger organization, focusing on eliminating middlemen and improving services. J W McAllister and D P Smythe delivered addresses, with Jack Keefe stirring enthusiasm from the Pendleton Commercial Club. G O Barrett of the national union was unable to attend.

George Curry Dead in Valier Montana
