Oregon students cut living cost with cooperative meals

Salem reports the Comminaha Cooperative Club at Walter hall reduced daily food costs to 18.8 cents per person for meals in October. Students handle buying, cooking, washing, and serving in three daily meals, with cooks paid 80 dollars monthly plus wood and light expenses. State Tax Levy Test Begun with Six Per Cent Limitation

Cornerstone Laid For Roseburg Federal Building

New Road Plan Proposed by Oregon Highway Group

Salem reports a subcommittee of the Oregon Good Roads committee heard that highway leaders favor relief from political control and moving work to a non political commission. A framing bill is planned for the next legislature to enact practical road planning standards.
