Dean Eimer L. Shirrell of the University of Oregon has been named honorary member of Activian International and will join the Eugene club. The award praises his work at the university, in Eugene, and statewide, and notes his role as a political science professor and youth service advocate. Previously dean of men at Arizona, he also worked with the U S Veterans' Bureau.
Athena Boy Scouts plan a mounted hike to Immigrant Springs leaving Wednesday morning August 22 for a week. Twenty boys are listed with others possible to go.
