Harvest reports and country social notes from Weston
Joss Gordon reports average yields around 38 bushels per acre for a crop praised as No. 1 wheat selling at one dollar a bushel to Pranie Price of Weston Warehouse Co. A neighborly dinner at Joe Hyatt’s on Weston mountain fed about forty guests, with a planned sequence of future gatherings at Albert Gould and Mark Henderson homes. Various local farm reports note yields near 40 bushels per acre, with mentions of harvest activity, travel plans to Seattle and Toll Gate, and community events across Weston mountain and nearby farms.
