Fred Hendley Dead at State Hospital

Fred W. Hendley aged 64, longtime county resident, was found dead in his bed Tuesday morning in his room at the State Hospital where he had worked as a ward keeper. The death appears due to heart failure. he had been in good health. Born June 21, 1908 in Par tage Wisconsin, he was married in 1877 to Elizabeth and was the father of Mrs. Fred Earl of Pendleton and Mrs. Jesse.

Vimy Ridge Survivor George Wells Returns Home

George Wells, a 1909 employee of Taylor and LeGrow in Athens Mest Market, was honorably discharged after serving in World War I with the 50th Canadian Rifles.
