William McMurray long time Union Pacific general passenger agent at Portland died Tuesday at age 65 after a lengthy illness. He suffered intestinal influenza in 1924 and was ill for two months, briefly recovered, then fell ill again around Christmas.
William L. Reno, brother of the late Jacob Reno, died when his automobile was struck by a passenger train at a Pennsylvania Railroad crossing near Hamburg Ohio. His companion George Heus died before reaching a hospital.
