Grande Ronde Lumber Mills Expand Output at Perry
The Grande Ronde Lumber Company, Perry, has enlarged its planing mill into a 100 by 50 foot box factory with a new printing press. The facility now produces about 100,000 feet of lumber daily with 125 workers, and 70 more will join to raft 12,009,000 logs downstream. Current lumber stocks are low, but shipments average five cars daily and output is projected at 15,000,000 feet for the season.
