Hale Bayley aged 40 died at noon at Atchison hospital after an appendix operation. A machinist by training, he rose to general superintendent of the Locomotive Finished Material Co. in Atchison, where he worked since 1907. Funeral at 408 Mound St. Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Burial Mt. Vernon cemetery. Survived by wife Grace Roth Bayley and three children Gwendolyn Eleanor Hale Jr. Also his mother Mrs. J W Waesener and sister Miss May Belle Bayley. Muchnic praised him as a faithful employee and friend. He was a York Rite Mason, Knight Templar and Shriner, and enjoyed flying and hunting.
