New Mileage Book Issued By Western Passenger Association
The Western Passenger association has issued a new mileage book to replace the old style. The book covers passage on all railway lines and uses an identification slip system instead of requiring the holder to sign the cover. Each time a conductor tears out a slip the holder signs, and after 2,000 miles traveled the holder may request a refund if signatures match the slips.

Milton Burright, early settler who homesteaded 1000 acres in Chana township, OgIe County, Illinois, died Saturday night in Oregon at age 89 years ten months. Born in Ohio, he arrived in Dixon in 1837 and later lived near Grand Detour, then built the Chana homestead. He leaves seven children and his second wife. funeral Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at his home followed by Methodist services. interment at Washington Grove.
