Queen Esthers Entertain Gentlemen Friends at May Meeting

Injured When Buggy Upended In Dark Rainy Night
John Joyce fractured a collar bone when his buggy upset in the southeast part of town as he headed home after shopping. It was a dark rainy night and his horse wandered into a ditch, dragging him some distance before a physician tended his injuries.

Mall Tilton Nuptials Unfold In Dixon And Ashton
Yesterday morning Fred Mall son of Mr and Mrs Herman Mall and Miss Bea Tilton from Panora Iowa married after Fred traveled from Iowa Monday evening to claim his bride. They returned to Ashton on the noon train and will make their home on a farm north of the city. Mrs Mall taught school north of Ashton for several terms and the couple stopped at Dixon to wed.

Jury awards Helen O Rorke 900 in damage suit
Jury deliberated six hours before awarding Miss Helen O Rorke 900 damages against William Berg of Reynolds township over a pedestrian collision involving a traction engine left in the roadway. The suit sought 10 000 and owners may appeal. Len Carahan of Compton suffered severe burns from a babbit explosion and may lose eyesight. Attorney Delos Baxter of Rochelle visited.
